# EZ Mockup > Put screenshots on beautiful gradient backgrounds and export PNG, JPG, or WebP. Free for images, no sign-up. Pro adds video, 3D, and an MCP server for AI agents. EZ Mockup is a free, in-browser mockup generator. Drop a screenshot or any picture onto an aesthetic mesh, grainy fluid, linear, radial, or conic gradient — or your own background image — frame it in an iPhone, Pixel, Galaxy, iPad, Apple Watch, MacBook, or iMac, tweak size, corner radius, rotation, shadow, and colors, then export a high-resolution PNG, JPG, JPEG, or WebP. Free for images, no sign-up. Pro passes add video, multi-device, 3D, batch ZIPs, and an MCP server that lets AI coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor make mockups and save them straight into your project. No subscription. Nothing you add in the editor is uploaded to a server. URL: https://ezmockup.app Price: Free for images (no account, no watermark). Pro passes from $3.99, one-time, no subscription; sign in with Google to buy. Privacy: Runs entirely in the browser; images are never uploaded (except screenshots an AI agent sends the MCP server, which are deleted automatically). ## MCP server (Pro) AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Gemini CLI) can make mockups through the MCP server at https://ezmockup.app/api/mcp (Streamable HTTP, bearer token from the account menu). Tools: list_options, prepare_uploads, render_mockup, render_video, get_render, account. Setup: https://ezmockup.app/mcp ## Features - Upload, paste, or drag-and-drop a picture into the center of the mockup - Output presets (1:1, 4:5, 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, 3:2) or any custom pixel size - Picture aspect ratio, pixel size, corner radius, position, rotation, and opacity - Drop shadow that follows the shape of transparent PNGs, with a draggable light to set its direction - Frameless picture styles: glass, liquid glass, inset, outline, border, retro, card, and stacked - Device frames: iPhone 17, Air, 16, 15, and 14, Pixel 7 Pro, Nothing Phone, iPad Pro, Air, and mini, Apple Watch Series 10 and Ultra, MacBook Pro and Air, the colorful 24″ iMac, Pro Display XDR, and more, in their real finishes - Screenshots from a supported phone or tablet are recognized and matched to their device - Mesh, grainy fluid, linear, radial, and conic gradient styles with draggable circles - Aesthetic random gradients generated in the perceptual OKLCH color space - Lock individual colors or the gradient style when randomizing - Extract a matching color palette from the uploaded picture - Custom background image, plus grain and blur over any background - Export PNG, JPG, JPEG, or WebP at full resolution, or copy to clipboard - Up to three devices in one mockup, mixed freely (say a MacBook with two iPhones): start from a row, staggered, hero, fan, or cascade template, then move, size, rotate, layer, and fade each one (Pro) - Each device's own style and 3D tilt, or one look for every device - Sets of up to 50 mockups: drop many pictures at once, give each mockup its own devices and layout (or one layout for all), drag them into order, and download the set as a ZIP of images or videos with Pro, or export them one at a time for free - One background for a consistent set, or varied per mockup: the colors, the positions, or both - Work saves itself as drafts in your browser (2 free, unlimited with Pro) - MCP server for AI coding agents (Pro): Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, and Gemini CLI can render mockups and looping videos from your project's screenshots and save them straight into the repo ## Why EZ Mockup - Pay once, never subscribe: Images are free for good. When a project needs video or 3D, buy a 7-day pass, a 30-day pass, or a 5-export pack. Nothing renews. - Your pictures stay on your device: The editor renders in your browser with the HTML canvas, so unreleased screens and client work are never uploaded to a server. - Clean, full-resolution exports: No watermark and no account: PNG, JPG, or WebP at up to 4×, or any custom size up to 8192 pixels per side. - Gradients that look designed: Random palettes follow classic color harmonies in the perceptual OKLCH space, or come straight from your screenshot's own colors. - Over 50 real devices: iPhone, Pixel, Galaxy, iPad, Apple Watch, MacBook, and iMac frames in their real finishes, suggested from your screenshot's resolution, with 3D tilt. - Backgrounds that move: Animate the gradient into a seamless loop and export an MP4, WebM, or GIF up to 4K at 60 fps with Pro. ## How to use 1. Open https://ezmockup.app 2. Drop, paste, or upload a screenshot or picture. 3. Pick an output size preset or enter custom pixels. 4. Randomize the gradient (press R), lock colors or style you like, or click "From picture" to match the screenshot's colors. 5. Adjust picture size, corner radius, position, rotation, opacity, and shadow. 6. Add headlines or captions (press T): pick a font, weight, size, and color, and drag them into place, over or behind the devices. Add your logo or app icon (press L), up to a quarter of the canvas. Each mockup has its own. 7. Export as PNG, JPG, JPEG, or WebP, at up to 4× size, or copy to clipboard, free. Turn on Motion to animate the gradient and, with Pro, export a seamless looping MP4, WebM, or GIF (720p to 4K, 24–60 fps), of the full mockup or the background alone. ## FAQ ### Can I mock up many screenshots at once? Yes. Drop, paste, or pick several pictures at once (up to 50). They share the picture settings and can share one background or each get their own. Export them one at a time for free, or all together as a ZIP with Pro. ### Can I show several screenshots in one mockup? Yes. Set the devices per mockup to 2 or 3 in the Mockup tab, give each device its own frame (a MacBook next to two iPhones works), and start from a template. Then drag any device to move it, or set its size, rotation, layer, and opacity; double-click one to adjust where its picture sits on the screen. With more pictures, the set fills mockups in order. You can build and preview all of it for free; exporting more than one device per mockup needs Pro. ### Can I put my screenshot in an iPhone, iPad, or MacBook frame? Yes. Pick a device frame in the Mockup tab: over 50 phones, tablets, watches, laptops, and displays in their real finishes, in portrait or landscape. Your screenshot fills the screen behind the notch and rounded corners, and when EZ Mockup recognizes a screenshot's resolution it suggests the matching device. ### Is EZ Mockup free? Yes, for images. Still PNG, JPG, and WebP images up to 4× size, with one device (or none) per mockup, 3D tilt included, are free and unlimited, with no account and no watermark. A Pro pass adds video and GIF export up to 4K at 60 fps, up to three devices per mockup, 3D models, and ZIPs of up to 50 mockups. You can try every feature in the editor for free: designs that use a Pro feature show a watermark on the preview, and exported files never have one. ### What's a Pro pass? A one-time purchase that unlocks Pro exports. A 7-day pass ($6.99) or a 30-day pass ($12.99) covers every export while it lasts, and buying another while one is active adds its days to the end. An export pack ($3.99) gives you 5 Pro exports that never expire; one export is a video, a GIF, one Pro image, or one ZIP of up to 50 mockups. Pro belongs to your account, so it works on every device you sign in on. ### Is it a subscription? No. Pro passes and export packs are one-time payments, with no subscription and no auto-renew. A pass simply ends when its days run out, and export pack credits never expire. ### Why sign in with Google? Only to buy Pro or to use Pro you've already bought; free image exports never need an account. Signing in ties your purchases to you, so Pro works on every device you sign in on with no license keys to keep. We only get your basic profile (name, email address, profile picture, and account ID), and your pictures still never leave your device. ### Can I get a refund? Yes. Something not working? Email elianrichards@gmail.com within 7 days and we'll make it right. Unused export packs can be refunded within 14 days, and Pro passes are refunded if something didn't work for you. Refunds go back to your original payment method, and the Pro time or credits are removed from your account. The full policy is at /refunds. ### Can AI agents like Claude Code use EZ Mockup? Yes, with Pro. EZ Mockup has an MCP server, so Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, and other MCP clients can make mockups for you. Create a token in the account menu ("Connect your AI"), add the server to your agent, and ask for what you need, such as an App Store screenshot, an Open Graph image, or a looping promo video. Your agent uploads the screenshots you point it to, renders the mockup, checks a preview, and saves the file into your project. Setup for each client is on the /mcp page. ### Is the MCP server safe to connect? Your token works only for the MCP server, is shown once, expires (after 90 days by default), and can be revoked from the account menu at any time; we store only a fingerprint of it. Your agent uploads only the screenshots you name, never your code, and uploads must be real images. They stay private and are deleted automatically within a day of expiring. Files reach your project through a download command your agent shows you before running it. ### Are my images uploaded anywhere? Not from the editor: it runs entirely in your browser using the HTML canvas, and your pictures never leave your device. The only exception is the MCP server for AI agents: when you connect one, the screenshots it renders are uploaded, kept private, and deleted automatically. ### Which export formats are supported? PNG (lossless, supports transparency in the picture), JPG/JPEG, and WebP with an adjustable quality slider. You can also copy the result to the clipboard as PNG. ### How does the gradient randomizer pick good-looking colors? Colors are generated in the OKLCH color space using classic color harmonies (analogous, complementary, split-complementary, triadic, monochrome) with lightness and chroma kept in a pleasing range, then mapped into sRGB without clipping. Gradients are also interpolated in OKLCH to avoid muddy gray midpoints. ### Can I match the background to my screenshot? Yes. Click “From picture” and EZ Mockup extracts the dominant accent colors from your picture, ignoring white, black, and gray UI, and turns them into a gradient. ### What sizes can I export? Any size from 16 to 8192 pixels per side, with presets for Instagram (1:1, 4:5), stories and reels (9:16), YouTube and X/Twitter (16:9), and more.
